Bivan Rodriques Mukhim

President

He is the Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Guwahati. He previously served as the Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura, from 2017 to 2023, where he led significant initiatives in academic reform and institutional development. Fr. Mukhim holds degrees in Economics, Education, Communication & Journalism, and Christian Studies, along with a Bachelor of Theology from Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai. As Vice Provincial, he continues to champion youth empowerment, faith-based education, and community engagement across Northeast India.  

Stephen Mavely

He is the founding Vice Chancellor of Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), established in 2008. A visionary educator with over four decades of experience, he has been instrumental in shaping ADBU into a leading institution in Northeast India. His leadership emphasizes inclusive education, innovation, and community engagement. Recognized nationally and internationally, Fr. Mavely has received accolades such as the 'Education Evangelist 2014' and the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from the Confederation of Indian Universities. Under his guidance, ADBU has achieved significant milestones in academic excellence and social outreach.

He is the Pro Vice Chancellor of Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) in India, where he champions educational excellence and social responsibility. A key figure in ADBU’s recognition as the 'University of the Year' by FICCI in 2018, he has driven initiatives like forging partnerships for IoT-based ERP solutions and advancing literacy and community development. His leadership reflects a commitment to transforming education and uplifting society.

 

Fr. (Dr.) Jose Palely Devassy

He is the current Vice Chancellor of Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), a position he has held since August 1, 2023. A member of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), he has dedicated over three decades to education and administration in Northeast India

Dr. Benny P. Basil

He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Guwahati. He has been a faculty member at ADBU since February 2, 2011, bringing over a decade of experience in teaching and research. Dr. Basil holds a Ph.D. and has contributed significantly to the academic community through his research and publications.  

Narendra Lakra

He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Guwahati, with a focus on astrophysics, particularly X-ray astronomy and plasma in astrophysical sites. He has been with ADBU since 2008, serving in various academic and administrative roles, including as Faculty In-Charge of Student Affairs and Head of the Department of Basic Sciences. Fr. Lakra is also the Chief Warden of the university's hostels, overseeing student accommodations and welfare.

Zacharias George Varickasseril

He is the Registrar and Secretary–Registrar (Ex Officio) of Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Guwahati, a role he assumed on April 20, 2024. He also serves as the Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SoHSS) at ADBU. Dr. George has been actively involved in various academic and administrative initiatives, including participating in the Annual General Body Meeting of the Xavier Board of Higher Education in India in October 2023, focusing on institutional preparedness in the context of the National Education Policy 2020 . He has also been a patron for conferences such as the International Conference on Digital Media and Society 2025 . Additionally, Dr. George has been involved in social initiatives, such as leading the inauguration of a blood donation camp organized by the Department of Social Work at ADBU in March 2025 . His leadership reflects a commitment to both academic excellence and social responsibility.
